Professor Bashar Nuseibeh is Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Limerick and was Chief Scientist of Lero until October 2012. He holds an ERC advanced Grant on Adaptive Security and Privacy (http://asap-project.eu).
His research interests are in software requirements and design; security, privacy, and digital forensics; process modelling and technology, and technology transfer.
Bashar is interested in applications of his research in cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things, with a focus on smart communities such as smart homes, buildings, cities, policing, and manufacturing. He leads research groups at Lero (http://spare.lero.ie) and at The Open University (http://sead1.open.ac.uk).
