Professor Brian Donnellan is Professor of Management Information Systems at Maynooth University (www.mu.ie) and Academic Director of the Innovation Value Institute (www.ivi.ie). The Innovation Value Institute (IVI) is an industry-led research initiative founded by Intel Corporation and Maynooth University that researches and develops unifying frameworks and road-maps to deliver IT enabled innovation across differing industries and contexts.

Brian is also currently chairman of the All Ireland Smart Cities Forum and a member of the the Dublin Smart City Steering Committee.  Apart from Smart Cities, his research interests include Internet of Things, Sustainable (Green) IT, Design Science and IT Governance. He is chairman of the Irish mirror group for ISO “IT Governance” Standards.
