Hitesh Tewari

Dr Hitesh Tewari is an assistant professor in the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin where he heads the “Applied Cryptography Group” whose members are working in the areas of network security and cryptography.

Hitesh is presently very active in the area of Distributed Ledger Technologies with a strong interest in advancing the state-of-art of the fundamental building blocks of the technology. For example some of the topics we are currently researching are: Efficient Distributed Consensus Mechanisms, Scalability and Interoperability of Blockchains, Use of Functional Languages for Defining Smart Contracts, E-Gov Services, Healthcare, Zero Knowledge Proofs, Cryptocurrencies, etc.

Hitesh has a strong record in publishing in international conferences and journals and has good links with industry.
